» Most of us use whatsapp, but the problems arrising nowadays are the fake news. Last year in 2018, the spread of the fake news of child kidnapping made the public to kill the innocent peoples.
» So, from 2018 the Indian government had been asking the whatsapp officials to avail the feature of tracebility. They said that whenever we will ask about whatsapp messages it should be capable of providing information. Company will have to look after it, it is technically possible.
» The central government is demanding the whatsapp to upgrade to digital fingerprint of all the messages.
The government ordered to digital fingerprint, without breaking the encryption of every message.
» This included the authority, they said- whatsapp should be able to reach each and every messages, from where it is originated, how many shared/viewed. They should do it without reading of that any particular message.
» The government also demanded to rebuild the whatsapp with improved structures.
From the government report,
the metadata(name, profile picture, number of group member) are not capable of tracing fake messages.
